Ugh, sickness.

I feel like my head is about to explode. I've been out of allergy pills for awhile now and we can't get any more. I have a hard time sleeping due to the constant headaches and stuffy noses. -_-
My perm. retainer means no soda for me for awhile, I really need to take good care of it so that my teeth won't rot with it on.
I've been reading like a maniac because i have to finish Memnoch The Devil soon. Unfortunately I don't get to read much at home, and all of my classes are extremely busy. I had to renew Desiree because I've had it for the limit of six weeks already, and I have yet to get a chance to start it.
Nearly 2/3 through Lost though, so that's good at least.

Mrs. Hirsch has started on her letter of recommendation for me, so all I need to do for my JILG project now is make a trip into town and gather the rest of my stuff.

I've spent the past few days fending off the advances of Lance, my brothers friend who lives with us. He's been dropping hints at me for a few days and I don't want to make him uncomfortable here by telling him to cut it the fuck out.
We've now gotten about eight letters from Glenn, I keep thinking of writing to him but never get the chance. In his last letter he specifically asked me to write him, so I'll probably tell him about the obedience training I've been doing with Pork Chop, and maybe a picture of Pork Chop as well if we can get the film developed.

It's been very strange, throughout the day I start to forget the nightmares I'm having every night and I'll switch into a good mood, then all of a sudden it'll hit me again along with a whirlwind of depression. Somehow, I don't think it's very healthy.

The paper of DOOM

I decided to join SADD today(Students Against Destructive Decisions, oh boy!). It's kind of lame and it's with Ms. Romero, who is from Texas but acts like she's some combination of Paula Abdul and Jennifer Lopez. It's kind of nasty, but she's at least friendly. My friend Miranda wanted to check it out and asked me to go with her, I had nothing better to do at the time so I went. It's something that I can add to my notes for Mrs. Hirsch for my letter of reccomendation. Mr. Konopka is working on his letter now, so I have both of the ones I need for JILG.

Apparently the two guys that Erin and i met at Cardinals Day a few weeks back have been calling her and talking to her, one of them asked her if i was single, yay. >.<
I told her to tell him something convincing. We'll probably run into them at another JILG event, but that won't be for awhile. They're from way, way up north so it's not like I'll run into either of them around town.

Mrs. Frederickson gave us our deadline for the Tristin and Isolde/Beowulf-Old English Epic Poems paper, luckily I have most of it planned out already. Much like my research paper, which I also have completely planned out, all I'm missing is my interview with Kyle. Yes, that's right. My teacher is allowing me to interview a friend and use the interview as a source. Video Game Content is a subject that is better discussed with somebody who plays controversial games often, unfortunately I can't interview myself.

I've now re-watched nearly every episode of Buffy in my possession, which is just about every one of the last four seasons. I've been working on ways to perfect my halloween costumes, and get past the problem of not wearing pantyhose with the Buffy one. I decided that shorts under the skirt would work well. My nana is going to help me alter the Daphne dress to make it fit more tightly, it's waaaay to loose right now. She fixed my green skirt yesterday as well, it now fits perfectly so that I don't have to safety pin it to whatever shirt I'm wearing to ensure that it won't fall down.
I think I may take a picture of my prototype Buffy outfit, it looks really awesome.
Or at least to me it does. Kind of like the corset thing. I want one and would love to wear one, but i highly doubt I'd look good in one when being judged by other people. XD

Now, on to my personal response paper for Sociology!

Nearly halloweeny time!

My mom brought me to the Halloween store today in an attempt to cheer me up a bit after a rough night.
We browsed for over an hour, I saw many costumes that I liked but she would probably strangle me if I tried to buy them.

We settled on a Daphne costume(Yes, the Daphne from Scooby Doo). We'll be ordering a pair of white Go Go Boots online to go with it. If we don't manage to get the white boots, my costume will be shifted to a Buffy-ish style. My mom gave me a pair of old, knee-length black boots, and I have an outfit that looks like you just took it out of Buffy's closet. My mom and I used to watch Buffy every time it came on when i was younger, and over the last few days I've been rewatching the episodes on themost amazing website ever.
I alternate between episodes of Buffy and episodes of Animorphs/Salute Your Shorts. ;-D

Homecoming was a real bust. >.<
I hooked up Lance(my current brotherly figure now that Glenn is gone)with a girl that I know likes him. And one of my few remaining friends, Jarod, reminded me that i am officially the Pink Power Ranger. (Kimberly, the only really cool pink ranger) I approached him at the dance and he said "You're not wearing pink!" That was before he noticed that under the sheer black part of the dress was a pink slip, and my nails were pink.
He held up the blue ranger's position with a blue shirt, and the girl we made into the yellow ranger remembered to wear some yellow. (Yellow necklace and nails, it looked really pretty)
I stayed at the dance for about an hour, then left due to lack of interest.
We still have to find a good black ranger, red ranger, and green ranger at least to fill in some spaces.
(Yes, it's lame, I know. Let us have our fun. :-P)

First post. Not that interesting.

Hmm....

I think I'll actually use this as a diary, i'll get extra credit in Creative Writing for doing so. ;-D
'Tis okay, all of my angst-ridden rant-fests that I've been popping off to friends on Gaia and GN lately will not be made here, I'd rather they not be public. :-P

I bought the a cd set at wal-mart today, Luciano Pavarotti: The Greatest Tenor of All Time. I bought The new Ozzy cd, Black Rain, two weeks ago, and that same day my mom bought me a book in an attempt to cheer me up.
Lost, by Gregory Maguire. So far, it's one of my favorite books written by him, I'm also reading Memnoch The devil by Anne Rice for my English Four project, and a book called Desiree for French. It's over 600 pages long, lots of French terms that I'm glad i know.
I also got ahold of a copy of Les Miserable, which I'll probably end up reading over Christmas break, I won't have much else to do. I'll read more of my Complete Works of The Brothers Grimm over the break as well.

Mr. Strong is allowing me to interview a friend for my Research Paper(Video Game Content, my thesis statement is that they don't have the negative effects that a lot of politicians say they do. ;-D)
Now i just have to figure out who to interview. I'd like to get Kyle, he likes the GTA games so much that it would be a good example of somebody who doesn't just go around shooting people after playing the game.

I GET MY PERMANENT RETAINER NEXT WEEK!
No more running to the bathroom to remove a nasty, slimy piece of plastic for me! My mom is thinking of paying for my teeth to be whitened as well. After the amount of crap Dr. Haug did to my teeth, anything will make them better.
I also discovered why my sinuses are so damn painful constantly. It's most likely because of the original odd shape of my nose and the fact that when I broke it, it wasn't set properly. So it hardened again while in a funky position, which screwed up my sinuses. It can be fixed with plastic surgery, but there are two reasons I won't do that, at least for awhile. First, we have no health insurance, so we'd have to pay for it on our own and we cannot afford that right now. Second, it would most likely require changing the shape of my nose completely, which I'm not sure I want to do. Don't get me wrong, I would love it if I could walk down a hallway and hear people whisper about how my nose looks like a bird beak, but I think I would feel weird not having my usual nose.

Hopefully Mr. Strong(By the way, he's my Sociology teacher)will be able to get a field trip worked out. He wants to take his classes to a high school in East St. Louis for a full day, and everybody in the class would be partnered with a person of another race. We would be partnering with the school's Sociology classes most likely. But, obviously, it's a little hard to get permission for it. He's been trying for it for awhile now, and this is the first year there has really been a chance to go, and this high amount of people WANTING to go.
'Twill be fun if we do go.

Off to finish painting my nails!
(Heh, I haven't painted my nails since this time last year. I'm only going to homecoming for an hour or so, most likely not even that, and yet I'm preparing for it like I'm spending the whole day there.)
